The Approach

How we approach ortho & sports injury

Rehab works best where the injury happened.

Injuries do not happen in a clinic. They happen at your gym, on a run, or on the platform. That is where rehab needs to land.

We come to the gear, surface, and load that caused the problem. We check and rebuild your squat, run gait, court work, and overhead motion in real life. Not in a cubicle.

Triathlon recovery physical therapy Tampa and other sports we work with

  • Runners: IT band, plantar fasciitis, runner’s knee, shin splints, real route gait checks, and Gasparilla or marathon block tune ups.
  • Triathletes: multi sport block recovery, run form, swim shoulder, and bike fit pain.
  • Lifters: shoulder pain, low back pain, hip mobility for squats, and back to the loaded barbell.
  • Court and racquet: tennis elbow, weak ankles, and back to court tests.
  • Golf: swing screens, swing related back and shoulder pain, and back to clubs work.
  • Paddling, surfing, boating: rotator cuff pain and low back pain from twisting.

A different way to handle this

What concierge changes about the standard outpatient experience.

The typical clinic

  • You do clamshells on a clinic floor that looks nothing like your sport.

  • You see a new clinician each visit while a tech runs your work.

  • You hit a visit cap before you trust your leg.

The TrueForm way

  • We load the real platform, court, or trail where you got hurt.

  • Same Doctor of Physical Therapy through return to sport. No techs. No double booking.

  • We finish on real return to sport tests. Not on insurance limits.

What you actually get

We train you where you got hurt

Your squat looks different on your platform than on a clinic bench. We fix your running form on Bayshore. Not on a clinic treadmill.

Same DPT from injury to return to play

No mix of therapists. No aides running your warm up. The same Doctor of Physical Therapy tracks each step of your rehab.

Quick starts for fresh injuries

You hurt your knee this morning. You should not wait three weeks for a visit. We keep a flexible schedule and can usually see you within a day or two.

Back to sport on real tests

We do not just clear you. We walk you back into running, lifting, court, or race day. We use tests along the way.

Hands-on care at your gym or route

Hands on care. Gait check on your real running route. All part of a normal visit when it fits.

Cash pay, simple rate

Visits are [PRICE TBD] for a full hour. TrueForm is cash pay only, paid at the time of service.

The arc of your care

  1. Check Up

Movement check at your gym, training spot, or outdoor route. We look at the injury. We look at what your sport asks of you.

  2. Loaded Sport Specific Rehab

Step by step loading on the gear you use. Hands on work when it helps. Real strength work toward real return to play.

  3. Back to Sport

We add back the demands of your sport in a safe way. We test you before you go back to full speed.

Ortho & Sports Injury. What people ask.

Do I need a referral for physical therapy in Florida?

No. Florida lets you see a Doctor of Physical Therapy with no referral. We can treat you up to 30 days. After 30 days you need a referral to keep going.

How soon can I be seen after I get hurt?

We keep a flexible schedule and can usually see you within a day or two. Early motion beats long rest for most soft tissue injuries. So sooner is better.

How much does cash pay sports PT cost in Tampa?

Visits are [PRICE TBD] for a full hour at your gym, training spot, or outdoor route. TrueForm is cash pay only, paid at the time of service.

How many sessions will I need for an ACL or rotator cuff rehab?

Most soft tissue cases clear in 4 to 8 visits over 4 to 6 weeks. ACL and rotator cuff after surgery run 20 plus visits over 4 to 9 months. We use real tests to move between phases.

What happens at the first visit?

A full hour at your training spot. Movement check. Hands on check of the hurt tissue. Hands on work when it fits. A written plan and price before we leave.
