The Approach

How we approach balance & falls

Balance work belongs on real surfaces, not a foam pad.

Most balance work happens in a clinic with foam pads on a wall. Real falls happen on real surfaces. Curbs, stairs, uneven sidewalks, wet floors. We flip the model.

We train on real curbs, real stairs, and real ground at your gym, your building’s amenity gym, or a park near you. That closes the gap between “I can do this in PT” and “I feel steady out in the world.”

What we cover

  • Vestibular care: Epley and Semont moves, gaze work, habituation, and post concussion eye work.
  • Balance training: Berg, DGI, and mCTSIB at intake and recheck. Single leg work, push tests, and dual task work.
  • Gait training: real stairs, curb work, and walking on different surfaces.
  • Strength: sit to stand, leg strength, and safe transfers.

Older adults in Tampa often choose this format. That includes 55+ residents on Harbour Island, Davis Islands, and Westchase. We meet you where you already are. No driving to a clinic two or three times a week.

A different way to handle this

What concierge changes about the standard outpatient experience.

The typical clinic

  • You stand on a foam pad in a clinic that looks nothing like real life.

  • You sign up for a generic balance class that is not PT led.

  • You see a different person each visit and start over each time.

The TrueForm way

  • You train on real curbs, real stairs, and the surfaces you walk every day.

  • You work one on one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy trained in vestibular care.

  • A single Doctor of Physical Therapy leads your full plan, start to finish.
